Missing tools

Hello all my crafty friends,

 I have asked every one of my class groups to please check your supplies for tools that may not be yours. I know that when you are cleaning up after class it's super easy to just pick things up and throw them into your bag and I'm now missing another tool.....Here is the list:

1-Martha Stewart score board
3-bone folders
1-Tim Holtz Tiny attacher (mini stapler)
2-Martha Stewart Corner punchs (deco fan and geometric frames)
1-We R Memory Keepers thumb notch punch
1- Spellbinders Tool in One
2-Vintage Photo Ink pads
1-Spun Sugar ink pad
1-Tea dye ink pad
1-Fired brick ink pad

I don't go to crops and take my tools.....the only other place they go is to Hobby Lobby and my studio classes, so it's really not me that has misplaced them.

I feel terrible about this and I'm sorry that I have to even address this issue. At this point I will no longer be supplying tools in class....either at Hobby Lobby or in my home studio. I'm so sorry about this but I can't keep replacing them.

Kitchen Sink Christmas Album

Hello all my crafty friends,

I'm calling this one "the kitchen sink" album.....I really just pulled out leftovers from previous projects to create this.  I like the way it turned out and a great way to use up some odds and ends.

FRENCH COUNTRY ALBUM

I was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest awhile back and finally had the chance to sit down and engineer it.  I love the way this turned out!

Ornament Workshop Class

Simple Flip Book

Hello all my crafty friends,

Thank you for your patience and understanding.  As you can imagine, my family is just trying to cope with the loss of my brother.

I've been a bit distracted and busy but I did manage to get the next project done.  I've kept it super simple with little embellishing.

I'm so sorry to have to  give you the next project like this.....in photos.  My laptop is being repaired.......thank goodness I have a daughter that can fix things for me!  

I spent several hours yesterday trying and trying to get my webcam to sync to Nathan's laptop.....Windows 8.1 just won't let me do it!  So photos it is.....sorry!

 I should be getting my computer back by the end of the week....I hope to shoot this again in video form for you then and get it up here for you to see.  The book is going to Hobby Lobby today if you want to stop in and see it.

This little book is perfect for the 6x6 paper pads.  It's fast and simple to do......a quick project to give as a gift.

There are four pages in this little book....2 of which flip up and 2 which open sideways.  Each page also has a top loading pocket.

 

 I used the envelope punch board to create the tabs for each page and used  the Tim Holtz Chat stickers for each of the tabs.

 

 

 

Each page is constructed of one sheet of 12x12 cardstock which makes this mini super supply friendly.

 

The paper is from a 12x12 paper stack that I had on hand.  It's Heidi Swapp.

Very Sad day

This is not the forum I would choose to share the details of my "real" life with you ladies.....but here on my blog is the easiest way to let you know.

My big brother passed away this morning....an unexpected heart attack.  We were getting ready to celebrate his 50th birthday this weekend......As you can imagine, I can't stop crying.

I will be pushing the Hobby Lobby Class scheduled tomorrow the 3rd to Saturday the 10th.  I appreciate your understanding.....

BOXED MINI ALBUM

Hello all my crafty friends!

Up next is a boxed mini album......the thing I like the most about this one is NO chipboard!  It's super simple to construct and takes just a matter of minutes.  It packs a lot of punch in a compact design.

This one is super supply friendly as well.....using some supplies from past projects keeps it really inexpensive!

This class is scheduled for the 25th of July.

Just an FYI....I will be taking the month of August off from Hobby Lobby and my studio classes. Nathan is taking me to Vegas for a week....I know....it's going to be hot but it just might be cooler than it has been here right?  I'm also planning on painting the inside of my house.  I'll still be working.....bummer....but I'll be getting something done so I'm okay with that.

I will be back in September with new designs and my eyes on Christmas!

A BOOK OF POCKETS

Hello all my crafty friends!

I have been so blessed to meet so many new paper crafters in the last few months, I wanted to design and build something for the beginners who have been coming to my classes.

What could be better than a book of pockets????  Pocket construction can be a bit confusing....the how and why of it.  Once you learn it though you can stick pockets on anything!!!!!

So, for my newbies here is my next project.

For the experienced crafters, this will be a fun book to do.....

Hello all my crafty friends.....Here is the latest Hobby Lobby Class project.

I enjoy working with file folders....I think they are a terrific medium to create with.  I reworked a mini that I did last year to come up with something new for you.....I love the binding!  UBER COOLNESS!  I hope you like it as well.

On a side note....my son's graduation is on Saturday the 6th......so I pushed this class until the 13th.  I really wanted the day off!

NEW STUDIO CLASS!!!!!!!

Hi all my crafty friends!  This is a new STUDIO class project!  I know it has been quite a while since I have offered one to you.  Lightening up my schedule at Hobby Lobby has helped with that a lot!

Speaking of Hobby Lobby....I will NOT being doing this project there.  It's unfortunate that I have to secure my projects and I have no way to effectively do that with this project.......

HOMESPUN ONE PAGE WONDER MINI ALBUM

Hello all my crafty friends!

I have another project ready to go for you at Hobby Lobby.....two posts in one day!!!  Boy I'm cooking with gas now huh?   LOL......I'm actually working on just getting ahead.

 This project is going up at Hobby Lobby on Saturday, along with the next project, so I figured I better get this up here as well.

Again, this is a wire bound album.  I really like the way this one goes together.  It's super fast, really cute, and supply friendly!

Envelope Punch Board Smash Book

Hello all my crafty friends!

I know that we all have that envelope punch board.....Oh how exciting it was to get our hands on it!  So after making a few envelopes with it I bet its sitting in your craft space looking a little forlorn.  Let's put it work!

I LOVE the way this turned out.  This was outside my norm.....no paper hinges! This really was super fun to put together!

My Mind's Eye Mini Album

Here is the next Hobby Lobby project.  This little mini is made with envelopes and has a unique binding that is simple to do.  I can see this as a new baby album, graduation or a birthday book.

This has a TON of photo real estate in a small compact design......I love the look and feel of this one!

Tim Holtz File Folder Mini Album

This is the third and final project made with the Tim Holtz Wallflower paper.  I used the scraps from the previous two projects to put this together.  I love how this turned out!  I think it's super cute and it was incredibly easy to put together.

Tim Holtz Attache Case....Project #2

Hello all my crafty friends!

Here is the next project made from the Wallflower Paper by Tim Holtz.  I really wanted this to have a definite masculine feel to it.  "Manly" projects can be tough to come up with but I think I accomplished my goal with this one.

Of course you could do this with any paper collection you choose........this would be really fun in a girly paper as well!

Alcohol Ink Techniques

Hello all my crafty friends!

It's all about Alcohol Inks!!!!!!

 How may of you have these cute little bottles sitting in your craft space collecting dust?  Let's blow off the dust and put them to work!

Alcohol inks can be used on a variety of surfaces and you can create really fun textures with them.

We will play with a variety of surfaces in class as well as creating a project for you to take home.

Scrap Your Stash!

Hello all my crafty friends!

This book is a great way to use up supplies you probably already have.  If you have papers left from another project, this is a terrific way to use them.

Keep in mind that you will want to use a decent weight paper.  The really thin single sided papers won't work well for this project.  The paper has a tendency to tear while you are stitching.

If you have a "page kit" that has double sided papers, that would work wonderfully for this project.  Most of them come with a bunch of embellishments you can use to jazz up your book.
