My next project at Hobby Lobby is an updated version of an older project.  I really like the way this looks and feels and I think it would make a terrific "everyday" memory book.

Hello all my crafty friends!!

Sorry I have been MIA......I have been wrestling with the decision of whether to keep doing classes at Hobby Lobby. .....it's been a battle of back and forth in my brain.

What I have decided to do, is to do one class a month and see how things go.  Class will be on the first Saturday of the month with the exception of June.  (Farm Chicks is that weekend......and if you didn't hear, I got into the show)  June it will be the 15th.

So...here is my next project......class will be December 1st.....

I was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest.  I have a love/hate relationship with this site.  It seems when I see something that I really want more info on, the link just takes me to a larger picture, when want I really want is to see more info on said item in the pin.  Like I said....love/hate.

Moving on......here is  my take on that photo I saw....

Vacation Time

Hello all my crafty friends!!!

I hope that you are having a wonderful summer and enjoying the season!

Most of you know that I had planned on taking the month of August off.....well that turned into July as well.  My creative mojo really needed some time off......and I needed some time to catch up on a few things around the house and my work room.

I have talked previously about my internet provider and what a headache it has been for me to shoot and upload my construction videos.   I did everything I could to give this company the opportunity to fix the issues but I finally just gave up.  Good thing too....I finally have a provider that seems to be working great for my needs.  I'm hoping to get caught up on video that you have been waiting for.....I do apologize for that.  It has been such a hassle on my end but I finally found the end of my rainbow!

I will be UNAVAILABLE.....notice the all caps there.....August 14th-23rd.  If you need anything, please be sure to contact me before the 14th ie......video links, patterns, hints or help.  I will be back in town on the 23rd.

Nathan and I are taking a road trip......with no clear destination in mind other than the back roads out of town and into Montana.  My car is in the shop getting all dolled up for the trip!  LOL!  I am really excited to be able to just go.........

Vintage "Scrap" book project

Hello all my crafty friends!!!

Summer is here...I think.....sure can't tell by the weather.  I do so hope it warms up a bit more soon.

I have had so many of you tell me that you want to take a class but are unable to due to summer time stuff going on...vacations, ball games, etc.  So I have decided to take the rest of the summer off.  I will be working at home for the month of July and August.

I do have a class scheduled for the 8th of Sept.  I will be revisiting the Vintage Scrap book that many of you wanted to do but were unable to schedule the time.

Altered Book.....Vintage Style

Hello all my crafty friends!!!!

I had a great time making this new project.  I was able to use up a TON of scraps to create something really awesome!  I love the way this one turned out.

I bought a book at Dollar Tree to make this.  Doesn't get any cheaper than that!  A word of caution...make sure to check the language inside your book.....LOL.  I didn't do that and by the time that I actually noticed the bad language it was too late!  I was able to cover most of it in one way or another...... Just be sure to check your book.

Tag Mini Album

Hello all my crafty friends!!!!!

My latest project was designed around the new phone printers that are on the market.  You may or may not be familiar......they print the cutest darn things you have ever seen...just 2x3 and they are adorable!  Fuji Instax, Sprocket, Zinc...just to name a few.  They are designed to print the photos off your phone......this is one item that is on my wish list!

So this project was designed with that size in mind.....I hope you like it! ( I know that a few of you already own these cute little printers......I guess I need to drop a hint to Nathan for my b-day!)

Double Sided Box Project

Hello all my crafty friends!

I know....I know...I have been MIA for a bit.  Honestly, just needed some down time.  My mojo gets worn out around the edges sometimes.  I have found it's easier to just put the scissors down and walk away until I feel enthused again.

The design of my next project was built to be used as a 50th wedding anniversary box.  I think it has a very engaging presence without  being a book.

This is not difficult at all to build....the steps are really quite simple.  Cool..

Passport Folios

Hello all my crafty friends!

At my last Hobby Lobby class I mentioned using the Envelope Punch Board.  I had something in mind.  As I started in on the project I had pictured in my head, something else started to take shape instead.

Still using the punch board for some of the inside elements, I ended up in a very different place than I had imagined....here is the result.

I think these are so cute......and they are amazingly easy to do.

A Special Weekend

After much deliberation I have decided to postpone the class I have scheduled for March 9th.  I have a weekend full of plans with Logan who finally turns 21....YEAH!!

I will try to get the next project up for you soon.....I just have a few more tweaks to make and I will be good to go.....

A Unique Travel Journal

Folio Flip Book

Hello all my crafty friends!

Folio books...flip books....folio flip books...snail mail books....there are probably a gazillion different names for these little books I am seeing everywhere right now.  I decided to go with the simple approach to create something in just a couple of hours.

How cool would this be if you stuffed it full of crafty goodness to share and mailed it to a  friend?   I know I would be super excited to find this in my mail box.

File Folder Mini Album

Hello all my crafty friends and Happy New Year to you!

I am so far behind in getting this out to you.  I was pretty sick the entire month of December and was still working the "other" job.  Needless to say, it took a darn long time to get healthy again! 

I can say with a fair degree of certainty that a flu shot is probably a waste of time and money.....I got the shot...got the flu TWICE!!!!  LOL

Anyhow......I have done file folder minis in the past and I have to say it is actually one of my favorite materials to work with.  It's sturdy, neutral in color and super cheap!   This mini is a bit different.....I really like the construction of it......
